ची फुले bakuli flower In my eye

Bakula ( बकुळी) flowers are very special to me!! In fact they make me nostalgic. I have spent most of my childhood at my granny’s place. There was a nursery beside my granny’s house. This nursery housed a huge bakula (बकुळी) tree. Every afternoon, we kids use to go and collect these fragrant bakula (बकुळी) flowers. Some of us use to climb the tree while some use to stay down and collect the flowers. Then we use to make beautiful garlands from these flowers and wear them in our hair. This everyday ritual was full of fun and gossip.
